Mitsotakis stresses importance of Israeil-Hamas ceasefire agreement

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with representatives of American Jewish organizations, on the sidelines of the 79th UN General Assembly in New York.

During the meeting, international and regional developments were discussed with an emphasis on the latest developments in the Middle East and the war in Ukraine.

The prime minister reiterated Greece's support for Israel's right to defend itself, adding that there is a need to immediately reach a ceasefire agreement that would allow the release of hostages and the distribution of more humanitarian aid to civilians in the Palestinian enclave.
