Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis on Monday repeated that the government's aim is the creation of an even greater number of good, well-paying jobs, during the daily press briefing.

Over 500,000 new jobs were created in the last five years, while unemployment is now at the lowest level of the last 15 years at 9.4 percent, he added.

Marinakis also said that the government's target is to increase the minimum wage to 950 euros a month by the end of the government's four-year term and to ban the reduction of the basic wage by law.

The government spokesperson additionally announced that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will meet with the General Secretary of Cyprus'Progressive Party of the Working People (AKEL), Stefanos Stefanou, on Monday at 17:00.

On Tuesday, Mitsotakis is scheduled to visit the President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou for their regular monthly briefings. Later on Tuesday, the prime minister will also meet the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa Theodore II.

On Wednesday, the premier will attend a foreign ministry event for the presentation of the National Plan for Greeks Abroad.

On Thursday, Mitsotakis will visit Budapest, to take part in the Informal European Council.
