Movement for Change accuses ND of planning salary cuts
Opposition Movement for Change (KINAL), in a statement issued on Monday, claimed that ruling New Democracy (ND) is preparing to cut salaries in the public sector, using the economic situation caused by the coronavirus as a pretext.

According to the announcement, despite denials by top ministers that there are plans to cut wages in the public sector, at the same time, the Secretary General of the Interior Ministry has signed a decision establishing a committee which, among others, is tasked with the "submission of proposals and suggestions to the competent ministers on issues related to the payroll of the human resources of the public sector."
The Movement for Change also claimed that the ND government seeks to hire employees with specific contracts using untransparent procedures, without any criteria and evaluation.
