Greece strongly condemns attack in Yemen

"Greece strongly condemns today’s atrocious attack in Yemen. We extend sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this cowardly act & wish speedy recovery to the injured," the Greek foreign ministry said in a post on Twitter.

In the message posted late on Wednesday, the ministry also reiterated its support for the efforts of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen (OSESGY) for a political solution to the conflict.

As the Athens-Macedonian News Agency reported on Wednesday, dozens of people were killed and more than 50 injured in an attack at Aden airport, shortly after a plane carrying the new Yemeni government from Saudi Arabia had landed.
