Greece registers 390 new coronavirus infections on Sunday; 421 on ventilators currently
Greece registered 390 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, of which 3 were identified at entry points to the country, the National Public Health Organization (EODY) said on Sunday.
Registered cases in Greece since the pandemic reached Greece total 140,099. Of these, 5,463 are linked to travel abroad and 41,926 to already known cases.
Currently, 421 patients are on ventilators in hospitals. Their median age is 67 years, 79.8 percent have an underlying condition or are 70 years old or above and 282 are males. Another 897 have been discharged from ICUs since the start of the pandemic.
EODY also recorded another 36 deaths due to Covid-19. The total of deaths due to the virus in Greece is 4,957. Of these, their median age was 79 years and 95.5 pct had an underlying condition and/or were aged 70 or above. In addition, 2,938 were males.
