Iliopoulos: The gov't is guilty and should apologise

Progressive Alliance spokesperson Nassos Iliopoulos speaking to OPEN TV on Friday said that the government is guilty and should apologise for the phone tappings adding that the cover-up will not continue.

He said that "yesterday (Thursday) the Institutions and Transparency Committee was annulled" as "a series of political officials appointed and were responsible for the National Intelligence Service (EYP) claimed they can't say anything for the case as they have the confidentiality privilege. So how will we learn the truth as the government says?" Iliopoulos wondered.

The main opposition spokesperson said that "Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis claims for himself the privilege of not being examined" but "this does not exist in Democracy, Mitsotakis will be examined".
