Greek stocks end 0.19% higher
Greek stocks ended slightly higher in the Athens Stock Exchange on Friday. The general index of the market rose 0.19% to end at 844.78 points, off the day's lows at 836.58. The Large Cap index ended 5.48% down and the Mid Cap index moved up by 0.16%. Turnover was 68,55 million euros, in volume of 26,558,316 shares.
Public Power Company PPC (6.11%), Aegean Airlines (1.93%), Viohalco (1.78%), Piraeus Bank (1.46%) and TITAN (1.03%) scored big gains among blue chip stocks, while NGB (-1.89%), Quest (-1.61), Ellaktor (-1.59%), Sarantis (-1.44%), Athens Water (-1.15%) and ADMIE (-1.12) suffered losses. Among market sectors, Public Services (2.62%) and Trade (1.34%) moved up, while Financial Services (-1.00%) and Banking (-0.78%) moved down.
Eurobank and Alpha Bank were the most heavily traded securities of the day. Broadly, decliners led advancers by 63 to 55, with another 19 issues unchanged. Epilektos (17.14%) and Myloi Kepenou (8.55%) were top gainers, while Lavipharm (-12.00%) and KREKA (-11.18%) and were top losers.
