Οpposition party PASOK- KINAL in an announcement on Friday referred to former and current chiefs of the National Intelligence Service (EYP) continuous appeal to confidentiality at Thursday's meeting of the Institutions and Transparency Committee.

The party's spoke of "theatre of the absurd" and urged Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to annul the provision that bans to those that have been under surveillance to be informed.

PASOK-KINAL believes that Mitsotakis is hiding behind the confidentiality appeal and called him to personally approve the lifting of the provision.

Additionally, it accused Mitsotakis of having led the country to political abnormality underlining that "the theatre of the absurd should end as it exposes the country abroad as it is proved by the interest of hundreds of foreign media every day".
