Unemployment card to be added to gov.gr wallet app this month
The unemployment card issued by the Public Employment Service (DYPA) is to be the next digital ID document that will be added to the Gov.gr Wallet App, with the relevant announcement expected within January.
The card will be linked with and daily updated by the digital register, so that there is clarity on who is eligible for benefits and what kind. It is the fourth ID document to be added to the app, after the police ID, driving licence and disability cards.
The electronic card will replace the printed version of the unemployment card and operate in a similar manner to the digital disability card, which certifies that the holder is a person with disabilities without displaying their disability certification and revealing sensitive personal information.
