Three new defendants were added to the list of suspects in the case file for the deadly train crash in Tempi, after felony and misdemeanor charges were brought against the Hellenic Railways Organisation (OSE) inspector and two station masters of the Larissa Station headquarters for their actions and omissions which, according to the information collected by the Larissa examining magistrate, had contributed to the accident.

The three additional suspects, apart from the 59-year-old station master, were charged with the same offenses as the 59-year-old, who is now jailed on remand, and include the felony of disturbing the safety of transportation resulting in death, as well as the offenses of homicide and serial bodily harm that are misdemeanors.

Prosecutions were brought against the OSE inspector who assigned the shifts that night, leaving the inexperienced Larissa station master at the hub station, and against two station masters who were supposed to be at their post until 11:00 but had left earlier.
