"The government owes answers for the tragedy of Tempi, but it has been hiding for days", said Nasos Iliopoulos, the head of strategic communication for main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance, while talking to the radio station 'Thessaloniki Kokkino 91.4 FM' on Monday.
"Precisely because we are facing a great tragedy in which we mourned 57 of our fellow citizens, we must all be very careful. And the first thing we have an obligation to do, is to listen. Listen to those who have been warning for a long time about what we experienced and these are the railway workers. The union of train drivers in 2021 and 2022 had sent three extrajudicial documents for the problems in the railway network", he noted.
