Greek President Sakellaropoulou attends coronation ceremony of King Charles III, Queen Camilla
President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou attended the coronation ceremony of King Charles III and Queen Camilla held in London on Saturday.
She then made the following statement after the completion of events:
"I want to congratulate King Charles and Queen Camilla on their enthronement on behalf of the Greek people but also personally, and wish them a long and successful course. I am confident that King Charles will continue the work of his late mother, Queen Elizabeth, while maintaining an undiminished interest in meeting the challenges of our time. Knowing his love for Greece, I am convinced that he will make a decisive contribution to the further strengthening of our bilateral relations."
Sakellaropoulou also visited the London office of late poet, diplomat and Nobel Prize laureate, Giorgos Seferis, who served as vice-consul in 1931 and then as director of the Greek Consulate General until 1934.
