SYRIZA blames 'disrupted labor relations & lack of safety measures' for Perama industrial accident
Greece holds one of the worst positions in the EU concerning such labor industrial accidents, noted the party.
The causes "of this dramatic increase are due to the anti-labor policy and regulations of the Mitsotakis government, which have led to the complete deregulation of the labor market, the destruction of labor relations, the non-observance of necessary safety measures and the discrediting of the Labor Inspectorate," it added.
Syriza "expresses its sadness to the family of the deceased worker and its support to the injured," it was noted, calling also for a "full investigation into the causes of this new tragedy and attribution of responsibility."
A 47-year-old crane vehicle operator died and two more workers were gravely injured after a propeller that was being lifted fell from the hooks.
