Search for persons missing at sea off Pylos continues

The search operation for possible missing persons continued on Thursday, in international waters 47 nautical miles southwest of Pylos where a fishing vessel carrying migrants capsized and sank.

An offshore patrol vessel, a Navy frigate and three nearby ships are operating at the site of the search. The weather conditions prevailing in the area are variable winds of reaching 3 Beaufort.

According to the port authority, 104 foreigners have been rescued and 82 bodies have been recovered.
