Tsipras to address rally in Thessaloniki on Friday evening
In a recorded interview to in.gr released on Friday, Tsipras suggested that "the political landscape and the political system are in a state of great flux," due to the lack of "strong political identities" and while there was "a strong shift to conservatism" at this time.
Specifically, on public health and the social state, he said that New Democracy had a "different political perception" which was "a bad social policy," based on "so-called trickle-down economics".
Never before has there been a prime minister who has so violated the fundamental precepts of the rule of law, Tsipras said, referring to the phone tappings and to the freedom of the press, while reiterating his concern over the "domineering tendencies" of ND's leader, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Finally, he sent a message underlining that "the working class neighbourhoods will continue to constitute, regardless of the elections result, SYRIZA's place of origin."
