Korydallos prison inmates vote overwhelmingly for SYRIZA, with 75%

Inmates at the Korydallos prison in the Piraeus metropolitan area voted overwhelmingly for SYRIZA during Sunday's runoff elections (75%), slightly under the results of the May 21 electoral round.

In the first voting center in the prison complex, 192 inmates registered and 185 actually voted, with 140 casting their votes for Syriza (75.68%). In May, the party had received 82.99% of the votes in that electoral center. On Sunday, New Democracy received only 9.19% (17 votes), followed by Greek Solution.

In the second voting center, 97 inmates registered and 92 voted. Of these, 70 cast a ballot for Syriza (76.09%), while in May's election it had received 82.61%. New Democracy received 11 votes (11.96%), followed by PASOK with 7 votes (7.61%).
