Danish tourist dies after falling during hike on Telendos

A 51-year-old Danish tourist was killed on Tuesday after a fall in a remote area on the small island of Telendos, opposite the island of Kalymnos.

The volunteer fire station of Kalymnos and Kalymnos police station responded, making their way to the site of the accident, where they recovered the man's unconscious body from a gorge.

The tourist was then taken by ambulance to Kalymnos hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The Kalymnos police station is investigating to determine the precise cause of death and how it came about.
