Staikouras expresses government's determination for a safe, modern transport system

"We are striving to meet the citizens' request for a country with safe transport and modern infrastructure, for the benefit of the citizens and the national economy, with hard daily work, with determination, with method and seriousness, at the Ministry of Transport Infrastructure," Minister of Infrastructure and Transport , Christos Staikouras, stated among others in a post on social media.

Staikouras pointed out that "the recent visit of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to the upgraded Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport signals, at the highest level, the strong political will for absolute implementation of our strategic goals and priorities to improve the daily life of citizens."

The minister also referred to a series of contacts he had with European officials with the view to upgrading air transport and speeding up reforms.
