Man, aged 71, arrested for possessing 4.45 kg of cocaine
Over 4.45 kg of cocaine were found in the possession of a 71-year-old man who was arrested in the Drapetsona district in Piraeus by the Pireaus Drug Squad, according to an announcement on Friday.
Specifically, acting on a tip-off, police located the suspect inside his house in Drapetsona.
After searching in the suspect's basement, police found 4.446 kg of cocaine and 30 grammes of cannabis inside an old boiler.
According to police, the suspect could make up to 535,950 euros from dealing the above quantity of drugs.
He is to be brought before a Piraeus prosecutor to be charged, while police continue investigating the case.
