PM Mitsotakis visiting wildfire-afflicted areas at Mt. Parnitha
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is visiting wildfire-afflicted areas at Mt. Parnitha, in Attica, government sources at Maximos Mansion said on Friday evening.
The premier was briefed by Fire Brigade officers on firefighting operations with aerial and ground means that were in progress on Friday evening on the fire's western front.
Accompanied by Minister of Climate Crisis & Civil Protection Vassilis Kikilias and Fire Brigade and Forestry Bureau officials, Mitsotakis discussed fire prevention projects that were implemented and are currently being implemented to expand fire protection zones, ones were created ahead of the start of the fire protection season.
