Androulakis: There is no prevention plan against the wildfires

PASOK-Movement for Change leader Nikos Androulakis sternly attacked the government and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis while addressing the parliament on Thursday and blamed them for inconsistency and irresponsibility in prevention and containing the disastrous wildfires and the huge problems that have affected the country.

Androulakis said that the government's handlings are the "revelation of a government of high complacency, increased arrogance and zero efficiency. "Every day we become witnesses of an organised irrespossibility in the management of the Greek people's crucial problems".

PASOK-KINAL leader escalated his criticism to the government focusing on the lack of prevention plan against the wildfires and tabled a package of measures in order for, as he said, the country to acquire the necessary resilience and not be the victim of the wildfires every year.

"The protection of the few left oases of green in the country is a top priority. It concerns the citizens' quality of life, our children, our future," concluded Androulakis.
