Defence Minister Dendias: The Armed Forces always at the service of citizens

National Defence Minister Nikos Dendias expressed his "deepest sorrow for the lives lost during the recent unprecedented severe weather conditions", as well as his sympathy to their families, on behalf of the leadership and all personnel of the Armed Forces.

"I would also like to express my sympathy to the residents of the affected areas. For the damage to their properties and infrastructure in their places of residence," he added.

He explained that the Armed Forces are working under very difficult conditions to provide assistance to the citizens.

"The Armed Forces will be in the future in full readiness to put themselves at the service of society and citizens in similar difficult times," the minister reassured.

"In any case, the Armed Forces will continue to do their duty, being a part of Greek society," Dendias concluded.
