Woman arrested for spreading fake news on dead flood victims in Thessaly

The woman had uploaded a video on her social media account, claiming that there were a lot of people who died in a region in Thessaly from the recent storm 'Daniel'. The claims were not substantiated by official authorities.

She was arrested by the Security Subdirectora Directorate of Ioannina in collaboration with the Greek police's e-crime directorate. The case file will be submitted to the prosecutor.
