Greek inflation rate fell to 2.4% in September, Eurostat says
Greek annual inflation rate is expected to fall to 2.4% in September from 3.5% in August, in line with a decline in the Eurozone inflation rate to 4.3% from 5.2%, respectively, Eurostat said on Friday.
In its flash estimate, the EU's statistics agency said that food, alcohol and tobacco are expected to record the highest annual growth rate in September (8.8% from 9.7% in August), followed by services (4.7% from 5.5%), non-energy industrial goods (4.2% from 4.7%) and energy (-4.7% from -3.3%).
Slovakia (8.9%), Croatia (7.3%) and Slovenia (7.1%) recorded the highest inflation rates in the Eurozone, while Belgium (0.7%), Greece (2.4%), Finland (3%) and Spain (3.2%) the lowest. Holland recorded a negative inflation rate (-0.3%) in September.
