Tsiodras: SYRIZA inflated in a time of crisis and deflated once the crisis was over
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' press office spokesperson Dimitris Tsiodras, in an interview on Thursday with SKAI TV, referred to the developments in main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance and the results of the latest opinion polls.
"SYRIZA became inflated in a time of crisis and deflated once the crisis was over. As one of its top cadres said, 'normality is not an opportunity for SYRIZA'. It is clearly apparent, therefore, that it is returning to the percentages of the past," Tsiodras noted.
Commenting on the findings of opinion polls, Tsiodras underlined that the "recording of the ideological views of SYRIZA leader Stefanos Kasselakis showed that there is no political identity." He conceded, however, that Kasselakis must be given more time, as a new leader, and that he will "likely show what he is capable of in the following months".
