The government is working to improve the citizens' everyday life, Marinakis says
The government is striving to provide the best possible answers to a series of very big questions that concern the citizens' everyday life, government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis said in an interview Action 24 on Tuesday. Especially on the issue of high prices for food and energy, he added, the government has provided more money than any other country.
Regarding whether the government is in danger of entering a phase of complacency following the developments in the main opposition, Marinakis commented: "I think it is not institutionally correct to enter into a process of commenting on what is happening in the main opposition... Every party has its own way of thinking, its own philosophy."
Marinakis, however, stressed the importance of having a reliable and politically strong opposition.
Asked about the national strategy for disabled people on the occasion of a visit by thirty associations for those with disabilities at the Maximos Mansion, he said:
"An effort has been started since 2019, in the previous four-year term, and is now being continued by the competent ministry, with the involvement of other competent bodies and ministries, in order to have a national strategy for people with disabilities, which has to do with their income, with respect for their rights."
