Androulakis: We must make our country resilient to the repercussions of climate change

Opposition PASOK-KINAL leader Nikos Androulakis visited the facilities of volunteer rescuers and the fire department in the municipality of West Achaia on Friday, where he emphasised the "urgent need to make our country resilient to the repercussions of climate change and invest in prevention."

Androulakis congratulated the volunteers, noting that they were "always on the front line", and called for targeted investments in prevention, as the repercussions of climate change will become increasingly severe.

He noted his own efforts in this direction as an MEP, to establish a European civil protection mechanism, but said that additional measures were needed.
