Interior Minister Kerameus proposes postal vote for national elections
Kerameus said that "we have been debating in this Parliament for 50 years whether we will make it easier for Greek citizens living abroad to exercise their sacred right to vote."
"Since a consensus is arising for the postal vote of Greek residents abroad in the European elections, why not also for the national elections? This is a self-evident extension of a facilitation that we have been discussing for five decades," Interior Minister Niki Kerameus said on Monday in the Parliament.
Kerameus said that "we have been debating in this Parliament for 50 years whether we will make it easier for Greek citizens living abroad to exercise their sacred right to vote."
"Since 2019," she said, "steps that transcend parties and colours" have been taken in this direction. "Let's proceed, all the parties together, step by step," said the minister.
