Defence Min Dendias meets with new Ambassador of Italy Cuculi

"We discussed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the defence sector, as well as the defence innovation ecosystems of both countries," Dendias posted on X.

"We also exchanged views on the security challenges in the wider region and, in this context, there was emphasis on the need to respect international law and the international law of the sea. I thanked him for Italy's support of our proposal that our [military] headquarters in Larissa become Commanding HQ of the European Operation 'Aspides' in the Red Sea," Dendias concluded.
