Greece and the UAE sign 2024 military cooperation programme

The military cooperation programme (MCP) signed by Greece and the United Arab Emirates for 2024 includes a series of cross-functional actions.

The programme was signed by the director of the Directorate of International Relations of the General Directorate of General Affairs and Communications, Brigadier General Vasilios Tsamis, and the director of the Directorate of International Affairs of the UAE Armed Forces, Brigadier General Jamal Al Marzooqi, on Wednesday, in Abu Dhabi.

Among others, it includes:

- Participation in cross-branch exercises, as well as in corresponding exercises of the individual Branches of the Armed Forces

- Joint training of Special Forces - Special Operations Forces

- Joint trainings in crisis management subjects - dealing with electronic war disasters and neutralising Mines - Improvised Explosive Devices

- Participation in the training of the Naval Defence Training Center and joint trainings using simulators at the Battle Tank Simulator Center in Alexandroupolis

- Staff exchanges and visits to schools and multinational schools and

- Staff meetings and conversations on matters of mutual interest.
