Tractors roll into downtown Athens
Farmers drove their tractors into downtown Athens from Kastro, Boeotia, where they had been gathering since Monday afternoon, in order to take part in the nationwide rally that will take place on Tuesday afternoon.

They are expected at Omonia Square at 17:30 and at 18:30 they will carry out a motorised march to Syntagma Square.
In addition, farmers and stockbreeders from all over the country are coming to Athens in their own vehicles but also by bus. According to the first estimates, there are about 60 buses from Thessaly while the number of farmers participating totals around 5,000.
Farmers from Western Greece and the Peloponnese blockades will meet in Megara, before heading towards the centre of the capital.
According to the producers, the aim of the rally is to highlight the problems faced by the primary sector and to provide solutions to the increased production costs of recent years.
