The first lawsuit for compensation over the fatal train crash at Tempi is expected to be heard on Friday before the Athens Court of First Instance.

It was filed by relatives of the deceased ticket inspector of the passenger train who demand a compensation of 1 million euros.

The lawsuit was filed by the victim's wife, two sons, and sister against Hellenic Railways Organization (OSE) and Hellenic Train. The plaintiffs are seeking 250,000 euros each from the two companies for moral damage and anguish they suffered from the loss.
