The effort to improve everyday life dominated the cabinet meeting, with the focus on measures to combat high prices, measures to support Greece's agricultural products, as well as upgrading public health and security issues inside and outside our borders, government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis said during a press briefing on Friday.
He then stated that Development Minister Kostas Skrekas briefed the cabinet meeting on the implementation of the measures against high prices that have already been legislated and are already showing their first results.
"The government has steadfastly supported the citizens against the imported high prices from the first moment," he added.
Marinakis underlined that "the prime minister pledged in his meeting with the farmers' representatives a few days ago that we would proceed with a plan to deal with the falsely designated Greek products."
He also referred to the provisions of the bill presented by Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis, which "regulate urgent issues of the ministry's competence, while at the same time Greek legislation is adapted to the best practices of European countries."
