Tourism Minister Kefalogianni meets her counterpart from Saudi Arabia at Berlin expo
Greek Minister of Tourism Olga Kefalogianni met with her Saudi counterpart Ahmed Al Khateeb and the Deputy Minister of Tourism of KSA Haifa bint Muhammad Al Saud during her visit to the international tourism exhibition ITB 2024 in Berlin.
Both parties reached an agreement to renew and update the agreement they had signed in 2014, during Kefalogianni's initial tenure at the Ministry of Tourism. Special emphasis was placed on enhancing investments in the tourism sector, expanding direct flights between the two nations, and prioritizing workforce training.
Kefalogianni highlighted the fact Greece was a strategic partner of Saudi Arabia in the latter's decision to develop tourism, and underlined Greece's commitment to fostering stronger ties through increased direct connections and a comprehensive, long-term investment strategy.
