Marinakis: PM Mitsotakis to visit Cairo on Sunday

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will visit Cairo on Sunday, together with EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni and the Prime Minister of Belgium, Alexander De Croo, government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis announced on Thursday during a press briefing.

Marinakis also emphasised that an amendment was submitted by Environment and Energy Minister Theodoros Skylakakis for agricultural electricity rates and the long-term contracts that farmers will be able to sign for the supply of electricity, with particularly favourable prices.

The government spokesperson also reported that the assistance to businesses, farms and livestock units under the second round of initial aid is continuing and has so far reached a total of 57.3 million euros.
