Foreign Ministry posts message on Greek Independence Day

The Greek Foreign Affairs Ministry hailed the anniversary of the declaration of Greece's War of Independence with a post on social media on Monday.

"Hurrah for 25 March 1821! Many happy returns to Greeks everywhere in the world," it said.

The post is accompanied by a photograph of the painting "Greece expresses its gratitude" for its liberation, painted by Theodore Vryzakis in 1858.
