Androulakis: The aim of our party proposals is an improvement of daily life
Opposition PASOK-Movement for Change leader Nikos Androulakis left open the possibility that the party will vote in favour of a finance ministry amendment changing the qualifications for a 'golden visa'.
Addressing parliament on Tuesday, he asked for the inclusion of two proposals that his party has tabled into the amendment. The asks that a minimum limit of 800,000 euros be set for the purchase of houses on islands, even those with fewer than 3,100 inhabitants, and that the amendment come into effect before January 1, 2025, which is the date envisaged in the government regulation.
He underlined that the aim of his party's proposals is a drop in the cost of living and the improvement of daily life for Greeks. "This is our compass," Androulakis said.
