Ursula von der Leyen to attend ND Congress

The lead candidate of the European People's Party (EPP), Ursula von der Leyen, will attend the New Democracy party congress in Athens on April 7, according to an announcement. The event marks the start of her campaign ahead of the 2024 European elections, the announcement said.

Ursula von der Leyen will address the delegates at the event on Sunday, together with the president of New Democracy and Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the President of the Republic of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides.

The general secretary of the EPP, Thanasis Bakolas, will also attend.
