Hatzidakis visiting Luxembourg for Eurogroup and ECOFIN
The Minister of National Economy and Finance Kostis Hatzidakis is going to Luxembourg, in order to participate in the Eurogroup and ECOFIN meetings.
On Thursday, the Eurogroup meeting will be held, where the agenda includes a discussion on macroeconomic developments in the eurozone, the prospects and challenges for the international competitiveness of the European economy and the digital euro.
On Friday, the ECOFIN meeting will be held, where the main topic of discussion will be the interim evaluation of the European Commission on the course of implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Fund. The economic and fiscal impact of the war in Ukraine and the activities of the European Public Prosecutor's Office, in particular to combat VAT fraud, will also be discussed.
On the sidelines of the meetings, Hatzidakis will have meetings with European officials.
The minister will then depart for Brussels in order to participate in the proceedings of the 9th Cohesion Forum organized by the European Commission, representing Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
