Marinakis visits ANA-MPA: 'This is the most trustworthy media outlet in the country'
Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis visited the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA-MPA) on Tuesday, where he stressed that "the Athens-Macedonian News Agency is the most trustworthy media outlet in the country and the one that journalists from other media resort to in order to be reliable".

Addressing the ANA-MPA's staff, Marinakis praised the work that they do and the work of the agency overall, while expressing his satisfaction that the ANA-MPA combines speed in transmitting the news with reliability and does not sacrifice its trustworthiness for the sake of speed. "Speed is very important but reliability is even more important," Marinakis said.
Marinakis also noted that a programme for restoring the agency to full financial health is being implemented and that it will be reinforced in terms of staff and infrastructure, adding that the target is the modernisation of the ANA-MPA. "Everything has been added to the time schedule," Marinakis said.
He also noted that journalism helps in verifying the facts, something that the citizens' need in order to be well informed when they cast their vote.
Marinakis said that the government's aim is to support families and the workers who are trying to stand on their feet. He concluded by stressing that actions are what counts and that the government always means what it says.
Athens-Macedonian News Agency President Aimilios Perkdikaris welcomed Marinakis to the agency, stating that the power of the ANA-MPA are the people who work for it.
