Marinakis: Drop in unemployment among gov't top priorities
Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis, in his press briefing on Thursday, referred to the activation of the 24-hour phone line 10201 for the protection of minors, the government's breast cancer screening programme and the postal vote for the upcoming European elections, saying that "the dispatch of the material for the postal vote has started and the ballot papers must be sent and received by the Interior Ministry by Saturday, June 8 at 17:00.
Marinakis said that the government is continuing its reform programme, adding that a drop in unemployment is among the most important targets set by the government. He reported that over 400,000 jobs have already been created during New Democracy's previous four-year tenure in government.
