Hatzidakis meets with Swiss counterpart Parmelin on investment opportunities in Greece

Greek National Economy & Finance Minister Kostis Hatzidakis met on Friday with visiting Swiss Federal Councillor and head of the Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research Guy Parmelin.

The two ministers discussed the two countries' economic relations and investment opportunities in Greece. Hatzidakis in particular referred to the framework to promote strategic investments, to financing opportunities by the Recovery Fund, and to investments in green economy and decarbonization.

Hatzidakis and Parmelin also discussed issues related to Swiss businesses, including pharmaceutical companies already active in Greece. Parmelin also expressed his country's interest in participating at the EU's Horizon and Erasmus+ programs.

The two ministers agreed to set the office of Economic Policy & Strategy Secretary General Giorgos Christopoulos as their respective ministries' contact point.
