PM Mitsotakis underlines government's "constant and practical support" to mothers

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitstoakis on the ocassion of the Mother's Day 2024 on Sunday underlined the government's "constant and practical support" to mothers in a post on his Facebook account.

The prime minister cited some examples from the second term of the government for mother support: "It is the re-increase of the tax-free allowance by 1000 euros for families with children (since we have already increased it by 1000 euros for each child in our first term), the extension of the maternity allowance, from 4 to 9 months for freelancers and farmers, and the increase of the birth allowance we introduced in our first term, from 2,000 euros for each child to 2,400 euros to 3,500 euros , depending on the number of children . I could write a lot more that happened in the last 5 years, but I will be content with these. So happy birthday to all the mothers!" Mr. Mitsotakis said.
