Meeting on fire prevention in Mount Aigaleo chaired by Min Kikikias

A broad meeting chaired by Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection Vasilis Kikilias took place on Monday, aiming for the swift and coordinated activation of all stakeholders in case of a fire outbreak on Mount Egaleo, overlooking the Egaleo municipality west of Athens.

Special attention was given to ongoing projects, focused on cleaning forest brush and establishing fire zones in the region. Additionally, participants highlighted the use of aerial surveillance by drones to identify arsonists, with penalties and fines having been reinforced since the start of the month.
