The fire that broke out in a forest area in Sofiko, Corinth, shows signs of improvement on Thursday.
More specifically, the Fire Department announced that the fire does not have an active front. Throughout the evening, the firefighters gave a battle to contain a few scattered outbreaks as well as to prevent any flare-ups.
Strong ground forces remain in the area, while aerial means are also assisting in the extinguishing operation as of early in the morning.
A total of 140 firefighters are operating with 6 teams on foot, 37 vehicles, 4 aircraft and 3 helicopters.
