SYRIZA: We are moving forward in a democratic manner to the upcoming congress

SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance "is moving forward in a coordinated and democratic manner toward its extraordinary congress. Its reconstruction and strengthening will respond to the demands and needs of the great social majority," the party said in a statement on Tuesday.

The main opposition party added it would "stand against the Mitsotakis government with seriousness, responsibility, and credibility" to defend social gains, public goods, and democracy, and to set on track progressive change, as well as "guarantee the implementation of a powerful program of restoring society and the economy."

SYRIZA said the "great, democratic process of electing delegates to the extraordinary congress has concluded with the massive and active participation of our members," adding that the committee certifying the results was ensuring the election of delegates complied with party rules.
