Voting continues for SYRIZA leader, in Greece and abroad

A total of 38,000 citizens had voted as of 14:00 on Sunday for SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance party leader, party sources said.

The vote total includes election centers in Greece and abroad, while party sources said that the flow of voters was increasing.

Voting centers opened at 08:00 and will shut down at 19:00. Candidates for party leadership include Sokratis Famellos, Nicholas Farandouriis, Apostolos Gletsos, and Pavlos Polakis. If no candidate wins a clear majority, elections will be repeated next Sunday (December 1).

Former prime minister Alexis Tsipras cast his ballot at the 26th Primary School of Kypseli earlier in the day.
