31-year-old arrested for possession of counterfeit documents

Α 31-year-old foreign national was taken into custody on charges of forgery in the Agios Panteleimonas area, οn Monday night. According to ELAS, police officers utilised information regarding an individual engaged in the trafficking of counterfeit documents and located the 31-year-old, who was walking, and proceeded to conduct a routine check. During the inspection of a nylon bag, a total of 260 travel documents of questionable authenticity (44 passports and 216 identity cards) were discovered and confiscated. The 31-year-old was taken to the Agios Panteleimonas Security Department, which conducted the preliminary investigation. The individual was presented before the relevant prosecutor.
