PM Samaras visits Brussels and Dublin on Thursday
Prime Minister Antonis Samaras will visit Brussels and Dublin on Thursday.
On Thursday morning, Samaras will participate in the EU Summit on Ukraine in Brussels and in the afternoon he will be in Dublin to participate in the European Peoples Party (EPP) Congress.
In Brussels, the EU leaders will examine the condition in Ukraine as well as the best policies from the part of the EU.
In the afternoon, the EPP will select the party's candidate for the European Commission presidency in the upcoming Euroelections. Samaras has expressed his preference to former prime minister of Luxembourg Jean Claude Juncker along with the Angela Merkel's Christian-Democratic Union party and Jean Claude Juncker's party.
Juncker had asked Samaras to recommend him for the European Commission presidency in a phone contact with him last week.
