They are protesting for inability of Greek government to deal with the illegal transfer of products by foreign trucks or private cars, the increase in toll rates and high taxation.

In their official announcement, the union states that the Greek government has not yet taken any measures. They also claim that the government refuses to implement the law.

The Greek truck drivers have announced that they will cooperate with other local federations in order to fight against the measures and policies that exacerbate the crisis in Greece and lead employees to poverty.

The president of the union pointed out that they will proceed with the strike as it is the only way to push the Greek government to satisfy their demands.
